This week Bikini Bod Boot Camp hit a new record in attendance with lucky number 13! But that’s not all! Did you know that Jordan sends her workouts to over 40 women via email now?! This little fitness workout that began with me wanting Jordan to kick my butt a little bit this spring has grown into a growing boot camp family. I know you are sick of me spending week after week bragging on how amazing these women really are, both the group that I work out with here in Orlando and all of the other women who are pairing up or going solo across the country. So this week, I thought maybe you would like to see some of these women hard at work, maybe put a few faces to some names.
On Friday the plan was to meet together for a third workout session (we normally only do 2 workouts a week together) but we got scared off by the weather and an inaccurate forecast of rain, so we all decided to do it on our own whenever and wherever we could fit it in on Friday. I asked the ladies to send me pictures of their make shift boot camp set up so you can see just how dedicated these women really are. From rooms that are really supposed to be live recording rooms to galley style kitchens to taking over a room at the YMCA, these ladies made every effort to make this solo workout count just as much as the group ones.
And I think, although we are all proud of ourselves for taking the time to get it done, we can all agree that working out by yourself just isn’t as much fun. Sure, you can go a little faster or maybe really get into the zone of hammering out a mental to do list while executing a jump squat (with a 180 degree turn, thank you very much) but at the end of the day, for most of us it was boring, lonely and made the workout feel way way way rougher than it actually was intended to be. So let me encourage you who aren’t able to meet up with us in Orlando to find a work out buddy. Guilt a friend or a spouse or maybe even your kids. But if you want an extra oomph to your workout, make someone else sweat it out with you! Or at least, that’s what we think!
